UK / Australia Young Adults Edition
In with the many releases and re-releases taking place we now have a Young Adults version of Magician and Silverthorn due for release in the UK and Australia in April 2013.
With a nice traditional fantasy cover, us "oldies" seem to be missing out. They say, don't judge a book by it's cover but we were kids once and still do . The Young Adults version of Magician surprisingly has 681 pages, the same as the traditional paperback, you have to wonder at the "Young Adult" part, does this mean its full of "text speak" and "icons"... You will have to wait like myself to find out, but for now here are the covers.

Geoff Taylor creates Custom Covers
As many of our visitors will know, Geoff Taylor created the artwork for several of the earlier covers used on the books of Raymond E. Feist, in the UK and Australia. The same art has also found its way to covers for other countries, and even books by different authors. In addition to this, he has also created covers for multitudes of other authors, some of which has found its place on the cover of a Feist book in another country.
Recently he was privately commissioned to create his own interpretation from some the books, without the restrictions from the book publishing industry.
Below is a one of those interpretations, in this case for Faerie Tale. Please Note it has not been used on a book.
To see more visit Geoff's own website, GeoffTaylor-Artist, where you will find over 400 cover paintings and 800 illustrations. For the custom cover art, look in the Galleries.

HarperVoyager Ebooks Announced
Today we recieved the following announcement from HarperVoyager:
HarperVoyager Delighted To Announce Publication of Raymond E. Feist’s Novels as Ebooks for First Time
London, 4th September 2012:
HarperVoyager are delighted to announce that for the first time the novels of international bestselling author Raymond E. Feist will be published as ebook editions.
From September fans will be able to purchase the entirety of Feist’s Riftwar Cycle in ebook form.
MAGICIAN, SILVERTHORN and A DARKNESS AT SETHANON launch the much-anticipated programme when they are published digitally on the 10th September. The rest of Feist’s current and backlist titles will be available later that week, from Thursday 13th September.
Rights were bought from Arabella Stein at Abner Stein by Jane Johnson, Publishing Director at Voyager.
Raymond Feist is revered as one of the world’s most popular fantasy writers. His acclaimed first novel MAGICIAN has sold over one million copies alone in its UK edition, whilst the total number of sales for Feist’s work is over 15 million copies. All of his books have been Sunday Times bestsellers.
Jane Johnson said: ‘Ray is one of the true greats, beloved by fantasy readers all over the world, and the absence of the Riftwar Cycle from the digital pantheon has been a glaring omission which we're so happy to be able to address. I know that a host of fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of these ebooks: it will be a brilliant way for readers to catch up with the entire story of Pug and the fight to preserve Midkemia before the release of MAGICIAN'S END - the very last volume in the series - is published next spring, bringing to a conclusion the whole magnificent, magical adventure that began way back in 1982 and helped to shape the genre we know and love today.'
Voyager is also rejuvenating Feist’s physical backlist this autumn, which will be available in B format for the first time along with a stunning new livery. The new look will debut with MAGICIAN on 13th September (please see attached for a sneak preview) and will then be applied to the rest of the Riftwar Cycle series from January 2013 onwards.

Beyond the Riftwar Cycle
There has been speculation as to what and where Ray will write after the Riftwar Cycle concludes. Yesterday Ray revealed a small clue to the Feistfans-l Mailing list. As more is revealed we will let you know, so please don't email us asking for more.
Date: 15 July
The next project will be a new universe, however, and the working title is King of Ashes. Sort of like Game of Thrones with show tunes.
Best, R.E.F.
Note: This is the possible series title.
