He was "Baron Vencar," which supposes that out there somewhere is a Duchy (probably in the east) that has a Barrony of Vencar in it.
The reason I went for that use was it differentiated him instantly from "Prince Arutha." So, when people were talking it was "Prince Arutha," or "Arutha," but when talking about James's son, it was probably almost always, "Arutha, Lord Vencar."
Now he's got a new title (spoiler, so I won't tell you), and Arutha (the Prince) has been dead long enough that people aren't confused.
