There are some that are more fun to write, because they have better lines.
I'd say that over the long haul, Jimmy the Hand, Amos Trask, Kevin of Zun, Arutha, and
Nakor are the most "fun."
Major characters tend to be more work, as they have to deal with more of the shifts in story, mood, action, etc. while the secondary characters can stand around on the sidelines making smartass comments.
