First of all it's "Wurts," not Wurtz. Second, Janny had no "input," she co-wrote the series. Let me make this as clear as possible: Janny was published at the time we met. Our first books came out in the same month, November 1982. This wasn't a "big name/little name" deal, or a "Feist put his name on a books someone else wrote deal," or "Feist stuck his girlfriend's name on the book" deal, or any of the other things people have said over the years. As to the last, Janny was never my girlfriend, so I don't know where that one started. As her own work becomes better known, there's less and less of this crap around, but it still comes up from time to time. We co-wrote three books, just as Nordoff and Hall co-wrote Mutiny on the Bounty, Men Against the Sea, and Pitcairn Island. Just the same as Larry Niven and Jerry Pournell co-wrote Mote in God's Eye. So, if anyone asks, make it clear to them that Janny was the co-author of the series, and if you like it better than my solo stuff, giver her work a try; you'll probably like it a lot.
